SVHOA Board Meeting

Ø Board members present: Mike Sobczak, Phil Raymond, Mike Recob, John Nowosatka, Joe Carroll, Matt Dana, Terry Emery

Ø MHSAA Association affiliation… Recob contacted MHSAA and has the name of the people to start to the wheels turning.

Ø Congratulations to Joe Carroll, the new head coach for the Arthur Hill HS hockey program.

Ø John Nowosatka will begin scheduling assignments for the 2004-2005 MHSAA hockey season at the conclusion of this evening’s meeting.

Ø Freeland HS game scheduling will be administered by the Midland Association.

Ø Men’s League scheduling problems. Joe was successful in getting Dave Westner to change the scheduling for the men’s games. The A or B with 40+ games, but not A & B on same night, nor A, B & 40+ on same night will be norm.

Ø HS Pay for games officiated during the 2004-2005 season will be $55/55/50.

Ø Matt Dana confirmed our “Non Profit Organization” number with Citizens Bank.

Ø If we need some accounting guidance with our federal tax situation, we can have Joe Langswager help.

MEMBERSHIP MEETING (50 in attendance)

Ø Joe confirmed with every new official present that they have their card and patch to signify completion of the registration for the 2004-2005 season.

Ø Phil reviewed the “Missed Games Policy” with the membership.

Ø Mike S. reminded the group of our website. www.SVHOA.US the logon ID is “svhoa” and the password is “stripes”.

Ø Joe assigned officials GSAHA games.
