SVHOA Board Meeting (6pm)

Ø      Board members present: Matt Dana, Michael Recob, Nick Horn, Eric Nowosatka, Mike Sobzcak, and Phil Raymond. 

Ø      Reviewed the Pay Rate counter proposal from Dave Westner & the GSAHA.  We discussed these counter rates, accepted several of their proposed rates, and prepared a counter proposal.  Mike Recob will send a letter to Dave with our counter proposals.

Ø      The board had (1) complaint letter from the Men’s League.  The SVHOA Board discussed the letter, and Phil Raymond said he will respond with the board’s reply & action plans.

Ø      Topics to be discussed tonight :

o       Nominations for the “Ken Schueler - Coach of the Year” award.

o       Nominations for (3) open SVHOA Board positions. (Raymond, Recob, Dana)

 

SVHOA Membership Meeting (6:30 pm) (36  in attendance)

Ø      Nominations for the Ken Schueler “Coach of the Year”:

Ø      Nominations for (3) SVHOA Board member positions:  (2 year term)

Ø      Matt informed the Level 3&4 officials that they have been assigned a new logon ID in which they will be assigned to “observe” officials working games this spring season.  Please accept or return games you are assigned in the same manner that you accept game assignment(s) as an official.

  

Ø      Scheduling on the web… check your schedule regularly and get an answer back to Matt ASAP ( no less than 3 days before the assignment)

 

Ø      Checks can be obtained from Terry at Thelen Ford Dealership in Bay City.

 

Ø      Discussed several game situations:

 

o       Hand Passes

o       Player picking puck up off the ice during play (penalty)

o       Must check # of players on the ice before dropping the puck

 

Ø      Next SVHOA meeting is scheduled:  Thursday, 24-May-07 at 6:00pm at Beef O’Bradys – refer to our website for information related to the next meeting.
